Sylvia Clark (Helen Parrish) heads West with her one-year old ward, Rodney, who has inherited a cattle ranch. She arrives to find the ranch on the verge of ruin-the cattle have been stolen, the water supply cut and the mortgage is due in two weeks. Fortunately, Roy Rogers and Gabby Hayes are passing through the territory. Finding Sylvia in despair, Roy senses treachery and decides to stay on to help. While uncovering the evil scheme to steal the ranch and chase down the rats responsible, Roy and the Sons of the Pioneers have time for some great western musical numbers.
