This is an absolute stinker. All that we are left with from Mann's book "Professor Unrat" is the elderly basic teacher - a young bitch situation, while everything else is a static production from contemporary Brazil. It’s boring and grey, and there’s an absolute disinterest in moving the actors from nothing to nothing. While I despise the 1959 version for being completely un-inventive plagiarism, this is just a completely useless WTF and a waste of time. (02/05/2013)
