Alex gets a well-paid job from his friend Zsolt: he must smuggle drugs from Germany. Alex wants to run away with the money to France, but suffering a car crash he loses his eyesight. One night, calling from a phone box in the street, he makes the acquaintance of a Hungarian woman living in a seaside town in Germany, and they get involved with each other across the space. After many a talk they set out to meet, without letting the other know about it. Thus Maria meets Zsolt, whom she first believes to be Alex, yet confronted with the truth she breaks down. Zsolt takes her back to the German seaside, where Alex is patiently waiting for her. It is here that Maria learns that Alex does not see, but this is of no significance to them any more.
