1866, Texas. A la suite d’un hold-up raté, Dee Bishop et ses hommes sont capturés par le shérif Johnson et condamnés à être pendus. Mace, le frère aîné de Dee, parvient à libérer la petite bande. Ils s’enfuient, prenant en otage Maria, une belle et séduisante jeune femme. Le shérif Johnson se lance à leur poursuite. Western from the period of declining interest of the audience in this genre, when the production of classic westerns shifted to Europe and the phenomenon of so-called spaghetti westerns emerged. In the USA, significantly fewer films were made than a decade earlier, on the other hand, they no longer had such a stereotypical character and there were noticeable attempts at innovation and new perspectives on the phenomenon of the "wild west". Bandolero has a traditional form, but the characters are more complex, not black and white. Another positive aspect are the decent acting performances. The overall impression is 50%, genre enthusiasts can confidently add another 10-20%.
