Under Levirate law, as outlined in the book of Deuteronomy, tradition requires an unmarried brother to marry the widow of his dead brother. Nissim’s brother has died and now Nissim has to follow the ancient ways and marry his brother’s spouse. However, he is only eleven, and the widow Rosa shoos him away. Years later, Nissim returns for Rosa, with marriage in mind. Their conflict and growing love resolve in a satisfying conclusion. (texte officiel du distributeur)
