Résumés(1)

Deren realized that it was impossible to film dance objectively: the lens necessarily changes the shape, size and movement of the body. This film employs five experiments: stop motion, match cut editing, changing camera speed, focal length on body size, and extending a jump through cutting. It is the first collaboration between a dancer and a filmmaker. (Mar del Plata International Film Festival)
