"There is no defense against the Humbles." Damn right. They're everywhere, they're ineradicable and they multiply like cockroaches. This was a very decent and timeless affair. Karel Humble can be encountered practically every day and everywhere, and, like a cockroach, he would probably survive a nuclear blast and perhaps even have something to gain from it. The makers of this TV film really pulled it off. Miroslav Donutil and Leoš Suchařípa gave great performances, although the nineteen-year-old Karel was, as a member of a Nazi fighting unit, a bit off. Anyway, this is not the first or the last time I have seen this film. ()
