Komora, a young painter and his friends, Mari, a teacher, and the elderly doctor, Szabó, buy a barrack-building situated at the foot of the stone mine of Badacsony. Earlier, the placeserved as an internment camp. Now, they intend to establish a camp with workshop sessions for fine artists. Mari and the painter fall in love. The party goes sailing on a boat owned by one of Mari's students. They are enjoying sailing when it turns out by chance that Sári's father, Veszeli, used to be the commander at the camp, while Szabó was a prisoner. Having learnt this, Sári runs away from home. Mari falls in love with the doctor, a man of strong character who suffered a lot. Szabó, however, represses his affectionate feelings with a sorrowful sobriety and refutes the accusations of the jealous Komora. (texte officiel du distributeur)
