Maja Plissetskaja: her name is inseparable from the history of the Soviet Ballet. She was the ballerina assoluta of the Bolschoi theatre, which she danced with for almost fifty years. Maja Plissetskaja left her imprint on the art of dance in the 20th century. At an age when most ballerinas retire, she started a second career and turned to modern dance. She worked with Maurice Béjart and Roland Petit and did choreographies of Russian works of literature. With her interpretation of the Boléro she gained world fame. (DOK.fest München)
