Gert Embrechts (1962) is a Belgian screenwriter and director. He initially studied to be an electrician, then graduated from film school in Brussels and began working as an assistant director. His first film works were the short films Pappa Fred (Papa Fred, 1992) and 13 (1999), then after a long period of time Vincent (2001); his other works were in advertising. He has collaborated on documentaries and TV series. The family film Go, Eddy! (Allez, Eddy!, 2012) is his feature debut.
