Matías Piñeiro

Born in Argentina in 1982, Matías Piñeiro studies at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, where he teaches filmmaking and film history for five years. In 2011, he moves to the USA to undertake the Radcliffe Institute Fellowship at Harvard University, followed by a Master of Fine Arts degree at New York University. His films include The Stolen Man (2007), They All Lie (2009), Rosalinda (2011), Viola (2012) and The Princess of France (2014). Matías Piñeiro currently lives between New York and Buenos Aires and Hermia & Helena is his first English-speaking film.
