Biographie

Ángel Alonso specialises in the world of animation and special effects. He started shooting his first short films with the collaboration of his family and friends. In 1991 he founded the production company Dibulitoon Studio, together with the producer Ricardo Ramón, and in 2000 released his first film as a director, El ladrón de sueños (The Dream Robber), one of the first Spanish feature films completely made in 3D, which received a Goya nomination. In 2011 he directed his second film, Mystikal. He was also the technical director on animated films such as La leyenda del viento norte (The Legend of the North Wind, 1988), La isla del cangrejo (The Island of the Crab, 2000), Glup (2004), SuperTramps (2005), Juguetes (Toys, 2007) and Cristóbal Molón (Christopher Coolumbus, 2007).
