Biographie

Paul Wright (1981, Lower Largo, Scotland) studied film at RSAMD in Glasgow, where he shot his first short film Hikikomori (2007), which won the BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Debut and the Best Drama award from the Royal Television Society, and was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Short. In 2008 he shot the short film Believe, which won the Golden Leopard for Best Short at the 2009 Locarno International Film Festival and the main prizes in Winterthur and Leeds. His next short, Photos of God, was shown at the 2010 Berlinale. His graduation film, Until the River Runs Red, won the 2011 BAFTA Award for Best Short and the Grand Prix at the 7th Prague Short Film Festival in 2012. For Those in Peril is his feature debut.
