Biographie

Chris Chong Chan Fui is a filmmaker and media artist focusing on unconventional stories and experimentation between cinema and new media arts. He began his filmmaking career in Toronto, Canada, and with his short films Pool (2007) and Block B (2008) won the Best Canadian Short Film Award at the Toronto Film Festival. His first feature length film, Karaoke, was selected by the Directors’ Fortnight of the 62nd Cannes Film Festival. He also worked on Compound, and audio-visual installation in collaboration with Japanese sound artist Yasuhiro Morinaga.
