Biographie

Paxton Winters directed his first documentary, Silk Road ala Turka, as he traced the Silk Road by camel caravan for 18 months. His feature directorial debut, Crude (2003), landed the Best Dramatic Feature Award at the Los Angeles Festival and the Special Jury Prize at Seattle Festival. His next screenplay, a tale set in Iraq entitled Outside the Wire, was developed at the Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab. He also directed the latest season of the Turkish TV series Alacakaranlik (Twilight). He has similarly filmed reports all over the world for TV channels such as the BBC, Arte, Al Jazeera, CNN, Time and NOS.
