Biographie
Having graduated at the Tama Art University, Koichi Doi began working under the tutelage of director Seiichi Motohashi, who became his mentor. He debuted under his orders as an assistant director on Baobabu no kioku (A Thousand Year Song of Baobab, 2009). He repeated the position of assistant director on Foujita (2015) by Kohei Oguri. He has directed the short films Maki-e and Cho-kin. Yoake no takibi (Bonfire at Dawn) is his first feature film.
