Biographie

Born in England, Victor Heerman moved to the United States as a child and later became one of the 20th century's most prolific filmmakers. Heerman and his wife, Sarah Y. Mason, won the 1934 Academy Award for Best Screenplay Adaptation for Little Women. His biggest accomplishment, however, was directing Animal Crackers (1930), a zany musical comedy now considered a classic of American cinema.
