Zsolt Richly

Awarded animated film director. Painter born in Sopron into a family of teachers. In the school of free drawing his master was József Soproni Horváth. Graduated in animation from the College Crafts and Design in 1966. His graduation film was an adaptation of a poem by Attila József. In Pannonia Film Studio, he painted backgrounds and made animated films for 34 years, and later, for several years, he directed films in the Kecskemét Cartoon Studio. His last work there was a 10-episode series on Martin Luther’s life. Besides filmmaking, from 1988 he taught at MOME, where he became an adjunct professor.
