Biographie

Céline Sciamma has distributed her work between collaborations with directors and writing and directing film and television projects. Naissance des pieuvres (Water Lilies, 2007), her first feature film, was selected for the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Festival and won the Louis Delluc award for Best First Film. Tomboy (2011), her second title, premiered in the Panorama section of the Berlin Festival, and Bande de filles (Girlhood) opened the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs at the Cannes Festival in 2004. The same competition honoured Portrait de la jeune fille en feu with the Best Screenplay Award. Sciamma is also the screenwriter of Ma vie de courgette, winner of the Audience Award for best European film in 2016.
