Filmmaker and screenwriter, born in Oran, Algeria and based in Paris. She graduated from the University of Bejaia in Algeria in 1997. She began writing a collection of short stories in which Algiers serves as the main protagonist of each plot and her short film "Limply, One Saturday Morning" (2012) is based on one of them. The film won an award at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival. The Blessed (2017) marks her directorial feature debut and premiered at the Venice film festival.
