Matilde Landeta

She was born in Mexico City and spent part of her childhood in San Luis Potosí. Thanks to her brother, actor Eduardo Landeta, she began to work in the film industry as a scriptgirl in 1932. During the following 12 years, she worked in more than 70 films. She then became a a director’s assistant in the middle of the 1940s, and later on, a director and screenwriter.
