Biographie
Writer/director Mitchell Lichtenstein made his directing debut with the 2007 cult favorite Teeth, about the misadventures of a high school girl who discovers that her vagina has teeth, which premiered at Sundance (with a Best Actress nod for Jess Weixler) and Berlin. His second feature, Happy Tears, which premiered in Competition in Berlin, is a dramedy starring Demi Moore, Parker Posey, Rip Torn, and Ellen Barkin. Lichtenstein is also known for his acting roles in Robert Altman's Streamers (Best Actor, Venice Film Festival 1983) and Ang Lee's The Wedding Banquet. A graduate of Bennington College and the Yale School of Drama, he resides in New York City. Angelica is his third feature film.
