Biographie

Julieta Egurrola is a Mexican actress, graduated from the first generation 1973- 1976 from the University Theater Center of the UNAM. From the wide acting record she has left since her youth, her stage contribution has been manifested in more than 50 productions of various genres. Several associations specializing in theater have recognized her artistic work through films such as Profundo carmesí of Arturo Ripstein, which made her worthy of the Ariel, as well as En el país de no pasa nada of Mary Carmen de Lara, which made her won the Mayahuel at the Guadalajara Film Festival. Up to today, Julieta has more than 15 feature films and more than 30 productions for television. She is also part of the cast of the National Theater Company of Mexico since 2008, where she has been part of the cast of works such as Ni el sol ni la Muerte pueden mirarse de frente, Ser es ser visto, The Cherry Orchard, The House of Bernarda Alba, among others. This artistic group belonging to INBA, which recognizes her as an emeritus actress since 2014, is where she decided to continue her career as one of the first actresses in Mexico. In 2021, she starred in the film Ruido, directed by her daughter Natalia Beristain.
