Kara Stephens started working in the film industry as a visual effects coordinator on Kathryn Bigelow's STRANGE DAYS, but quickly discovered her heart was in the camera department. Over the last decade, Kara has worked as a loader, operator, and assistant on commercials, episodic television and features. Her long list of credits include the films CRIME & PUNISHMENT IN SUBURBIA, ALBINO ALLIGATOR directed by Kevin Spacey, and most recently, THIRTEEN directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Kara has been the director of photography on several short films and the documentaries TIME TRIED, PANIC TESTED and LOVE MARRIAGE.
