Sarmad Masud

Biographie

Sarmad Masud studied film at the Hull school of Art & Design and went on to direct ADHA CUP, the first Urdu language drama comissioned by Chanel Four, going on to develop it as a six part TV series with the BBC. Has previously made films in Kashmir and Cambodia, winning awards at Angel and Leeds International film festival as well as being nominated twice for the Satyajit Ray short film award. He worked closely with Kabir Khan as Second Unit Director on Phantom; a Bollywood film starring Saif Ali-Khan and Katrina Kaif. He is also writing a feature film with the BFI, as well as currently being in pre-production for a low budget feature he is set to shoot in Pakistan in January 2015.
