Armando Capó studied Film, TV and Radio Directing at the Havana Higher Institute of Art and Documentary Directing at the San Antonio de los Baños International Film School. He is a professor of Documentary Cinema at the Higher Institute of Art. He has directed the documentary short films Inercia (2008), La marea (2009), Nos quedamos (2010), Ausencia (2011) and La certeza (2012), selected for and winners of awards at numerous international festivals. The project for Agosto (August), his first feature film, was selected for the Co-Production Forum (2014) and for Films in Progress (2017) at the San Sebastian Festival.
