Biographie
Born and raised in the city of Changzhou, China, he studied Film Directing at the Victorian College of the Arts in Australia. His short film A Gentle Night won the Palme d'Or for Best Short Film at the 70th Cannes International Film Festival, becoming the first Chinese director to win this award.
