Biographie
Billy Brown was born and raised in Inglewood, CA. Billy Brown starred on the award-winning FX show Sons of Anarchy. He starred as a series regular on the CBS drama Hostages, alongside Toni Colette and Dylan McDermott. He can be seen in the drama series by executive producer Shonda Rhimes (Scandal, Grey's Anatomy), How to Get Away with Murder. With his work on many different shows, Billy earned himself a spot on the Los Angeles Times' "Ones to Watch" list. He also garnered a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for Dexter (2006).
Billy, who is best known for his role as lead detective Mike Anderson on Showtime's award winning drama Dexter, as well as the tough, and brutal gang leader, August Marks, on FX's Sons of Anarchy. Before becoming a series regular on Sons of Anarchy, Billy had a small role in the FX series Lights Out. Billy is also, most notably, recognized for his deep and powerful voice. He was first approached to be the voice of the Marines and since then has done work as a voice actor on the animated series Transformers: Prime. Billy has also appeared in The Following, opposite Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy, where he played an FBI agent attempting to stop the mass killings being performed by James' followers.
