Biographie
Claudia Weill was born in New York City. She studied at Harvard University. She has directed for film, television, and theatre. Her first feature, Girlfriends (1978), was added to the Library of Congress’s National Film Registry in 2019 for its importance to American film heritage. Her other credits include 30 short films for Sesame Street, the features It’s My Turn (1980) and Face of a Stranger (1991), the series Thirtysomething (1987–91) and Chicago Hope (1994–2000), and the plays Found a Peanut (1984) and Doubt: A Parable (2004).
