Working man Gregson loses his job when vertigo attacks affect his performance at the shipyards. His drinking goes from an occasional mild bender to out-and-out drunkenness, which doesn't help the situation. Fortunately for the man, his young daughter (Ryan) is a stock plucky type. She inspires her father after being picked to solo at a church festival and eventually helps him get a job with businessman Liam Redmond. The emotional manipulation within the drama does its job effectively, though every trick shines through without shame. (texte officiel du distributeur)
