Hunter is released from prison with information on a hidden cache of gold worth $250,000 which was buried by a now-dead convict some 30 years earlier. He is followed in his search by an eccentric family that wants a share of the gold, and along the way he also picks up waitress North, with whom he falls in love. Disappointment sets in when they discover that the buried loot is covered by the man-made Lake Mead. The eccentric clan tries to kill the young lovers, but Sullivan, the town sheriff, comes to their aid. Songs: "Strange Weather" and "Drive-In Rock" (Lionel Newman, Carroll Coates).
